  3. The PS Printing Patch (3.3) file fixes problems that occur when printing with QuarkXPress for Macintosh version 3.3 using LaserWriter drivers prior to version 8.0.

  5. To use the PS Printing Patch (3.3) file, place the file in the same folder as QuarkXPress 3.3 and launch the application.  Do not place the PS Printing Patch (3.3) in a sub-folder, such as the XTension folder, or it will not load.

  7. The PS Printing Patch fixes these problems:

A problem has been fixed that occurs only when printing using a 7.x version of the LaserWriter driver. Output may have had the wrong halftone screening (something other than was set up in Page Setup) on all pages except the first page.  This problem didn't occur, however, when printing separations. It also didn't occur if you were using an 8.x LaserWriter driver.

A problem has been fixed that occurs only when printing separations with Invert Image selected (Page Setup --> Options). The knockout area behind EPS pictures could have printed as solid (instead of knocked out) on certain plates. This problem also didn't occur if you were using an 8.x LaserWriter driver.
